The go to tools and resources I use to run my business.

*Last Updated 31 December 2021

This blog is a collection of business tools and resources that I love and use myself. If you aren’t a business owner you might actually find a few of these handy especially if you have a fair bit of autonomy at work, manage projects (like a PhD or another) or just love a little bit of organisation.

You may see a tool or resource mentioned more than once among the categories. Some links are affiliate links but I would be sharing these regardless of whether I receive any benefit or not.

These categories are:

  • General Tools & Recourses For a Better Business

  • Professional Services for Your Business

  • Personal & Professional Development

  • Admin & Productivity Tools

General Tools & Recourses For a Better Business

Sunday Planning - Each Sunday afternoon I have time blocked out in my calendar to work through a series of tasks to get me tidy up from the past week and get organised for the week ahead.

Feminist Marketing Tools by Kelly Diels - This is a must for any business owner who considered themselves a feminists and ethical business owner. Regardless what services they offer or industry they are in.

7 Things I Do When I feel Drained - Some easy tips from my tool kit for you to try next time you need a recharge.

Professional Services for Your Business

Website Creation Services - Work with me to create your unique and perfect website! I work with Yoga Teachers, Massage Therapists, Personal Trainers and doTERRA Wellness Advocates and other health and wellness business owners.

Policy and HR Assistance - From privacy policies to consent forms for help with performance managing staff. My friend Trish from Solutions to Spec is your point of call. Trish helped me out with my privacy policy and consent forms to make sure I was a-okay policy wise to teach Yoga online in the awkward 2020 transition!

Financial Advice for your Business - For finance help with your business I highly recommend my friend Sarah. Sarah is a speaker, trainer and does freelance work as a CFO (chief financial officer) for small businesses. I can personally recommend Sarah’s online courses and her in person workshops!

Personal and Business Accounting Services - For accounting services visit Sarah (as mentioned above) and her husband Peter’s accounting firm, Equity Flare.

Personal & Professional Development

Stay Informed with The Squiz, The Saturday Paper & The 7am Podcast - A lot of coaches out there will tell you to essentially bury your head in the sand to current events. This is not helpful but neither is the the current trend of inundation and click bait news. The Squiz, The Saturday Paper and The 7am Podcast are my favourite national sources of news and current events.

My Bookshelf - A selection of Insights Articles with book mentions on various topics. I am a big reader and it is a foundation of my development.

Adore Your Cycle by Claire Baker - Or anything by Claire Baker, she is an amazing period coach and her teachings have changed the way I work. I suggest starting with her free class and recently published book 50 Things You Need to Know About Your Period.

Anti-Racism Work - This is important work whether you run a business or not. There are plenty of resources going around at the moment and this is a list that I have put together for myself and am working from.

Body First - I have known the importance of this since I was little but this mantra has been drummed into me by Claire Baker (getting to know my cycle), Shona Vertue (mental health and physical health) and Kate Northrup (all about learning to do less). So, why not add a Yoga class with me into the plan for your week? Or sign up to my Inhale Yoga Membership so you have yoga on demand when you need it!

Admin & Productivity Tools

doTERRA Essential Oils for Focus & Productivity - I love Peppermint Touch and Passion Touch to keep me focussed and productive. Contact me if you are interested in these oils.

Be Focussed Timer Pro - Set your work & rest time intervals, including how often you will have a long break. Then work until it beeps. I use the Mac & iPhone App. Use the rest intervals to move your body as well as make a cuppa!

My Focus Playlist on Spotify - Tune in & make it happen.

Binaural App - Select your own frequency of binaural beats to focus with.

Squarespace - My website builder which I can build for you! Yep I offer website building services to yoga business owners and other health and wellness professionals. Learn more about working with me here.

Squarespace Scheduling - The booking system I use for all classes, workshops & appointments for Inhale Yoga. It seamlessly integrates with Squarespace. I work with yoga teachers and other health and wellness business ownsers to set up their scheduling system. Learn more about working with me here.

FloDesk, Squarespace Campaigns and Convert Kit - I currently use Convert Kit as my email marketing tool and love it. In the past I have used FloDesk and Squarespace Campaigns which I would still highly recommend. I work with yoga teachers and other health and wellness business ownsers to set up their email marketing system. Learn more about working with me here.

Google Drive - I am a huge fan of Google Workspace. I use Google Drive & Google Docs to collaborate with others, back up & store my work when I am on the go.

Notion - Notion is my newest tool for business and life. Think of it as the ultimate project and life managment tool! It handsdown beats Trello, Asana, Evernote and Google Docs/Sheets. I love trying out new systems and Notion has given me hours of fun but also works really well with the bare basic set up.

Zoom - For all video calls & interviews.

Do you have a question on something here? Feel free to contact me here.
