Summer Yoga Series
Foundations of Vinyasa Yoga at Riverdell Spiritual Centre, Gawler.
I'm Laura, and this summer yoga series is for you if you need to get out of your head and into your body.
This January, join me for four Saturday mornings of vinyasa yoga at Riverdell in Gawler. If your week is a blur of desk time, looking after other people and a to-do list that never ends, this is one hour where your only job is to move and breath.
The classes are gentle by dynamic. You will build a little heat and feel your body working, without feeling like this is another thing to perfect. You will also learn modifications that help you adapt vinyasa to your body, so you can follow a class anywhere without worrying whether or not you’re doing it right.
Each class runs from 8am to 9am in the Sanctuary building at Riverdell Spiritual Centre in Gawler. At 9am you will be done and leave relaxed and ready for the rest of your weekend.
A small group, a quiet room and an hour for you.
Is the Summer Yoga Series for you?
This series is for you if:
You spend most of the week at a desk, looking after other people or racing the clock to get through a to-do list, and your body hardly gets a look in.
You keep rereading the same email in your head at 9pm, and you'd like one hour to switch off an be guided through every breath and move.
You've never done a downward dog, and you want a series to start with.
You used to practise yoga, and you want a way back in that isn't a big commitment.
You've practised for years, but your wrists, shoulders or lower back complain by the tenth pose, and you want to revisit the foundations.
You don't need to be flexible or experienced. You will learn modifications that make the flow fit your body, so you can work at the level that suits you on the day.
If you are returning to yoga after an injury, please get in touch before you book so we can make sure the series is right for you.
How You’ll Feel
By the end of each class, you will feel:
A little bit stronger
A little less wound up
Ready to enjoy your weekend
Over four weeks, you will build a steady, repeatable way of moving with your breath. By the end, you will know what a teacher means by "vinyasa flow", and you will be able to follow a vinyasa class anywhere without watching the person in front of you. You will also know how to adjust the practice to suit your body, wherever you are practising, so you can roll out a mat at home and know where to start.
What the series includes
Four one-hour vinyasa classes, each building on the one before
Clear teaching on how to link breath and movement
Modifications you can use to adapt vinyasa yoga to your body, whatever your experience or energy on the day
A small, welcoming group of no more than 15, in a quiet setting among the Riverdell trees
Bonus for the full series if you purchase before 30 November: one month of access to my Yoga at Home membership (1 to 31 January), so you can keep your practice going between Saturdays. If you are already a Yoga at Home member, a month will be added to your current membership.
